Mayfair High School faced significant challenges with student behavior and inefficient administrative processes. Influenced by social media "TikTok challenges," the school struggled with misconduct and a flawed tardiness system that caused students to miss entire class periods. Outdated paper-based systems for student IDs and hall passes created safety concerns, a lack of accountability, and wasted valuable teacher time.
To address this, the school implemented Minga's modular campus management platform. The solution included digital hall passes, a student ID system, and a "Tardy Blitz" initiative that used Minga’s check-in and behavior modules to reward punctuality and quickly return late students to class. This resulted in a 96% decrease in tardiness, an extra 7 hours of classroom time, and a 78% reduction in time lost due to tardiness in just one month. Minga also boosted engagement, with over 126,000 points issued for good behavior, and provided data that helped the school secure funding for its rewards program.
