Montana Brands Management (MTB Management) is a fast‑growing Taco Bell franchisee in western Montana that expanded from eight to 12 stores. The company relied on a paper‑based, manual accounts payable process that required up to 30 hours a week of clerical work, was insecure, and couldn’t scale—issues that became urgent as they planned growth and needed remote workflows during the COVID‑19 pandemic.
MTB implemented MineralTree’s AP automation (integrated with QuickBooks Desktop) to capture emailed invoices, automate data entry, enable remote approvals, and use electronic payments. The result: invoices processed increased about 50% while AP time fell to 10–15 hours weekly, 90% of invoices now arrive by email, about 50 invoices are handled daily, four new locations were supported without additional hires, and vendor relationships, payment security, and visibility all improved.
