JustGive Eases Payment Pains with MineralTree FlexPay

JustGiving is an online donation platform that processes thousands of charity disbursements each month; at peak months it handled 6,000–15,000 check payments. Until 2015 the entire fulfillment workflow — printing, signing and mailing checks — was manual, required temporary staff, was prone to printer failures and delays, and could take about three weeks to complete a batch.

JustGiving implemented MineralTree FlexPay to automate payment execution: staff upload approved payment data, and checks are issued directly from JustGiving’s bank account, printed, digitally signed and mailed by MineralTree. The change cut batch processing from about three weeks to under four days (payments executed within 24 hours and delivered in 3–5 business days), eliminated temporary labor and fulfillment costs, improved reliability and compliance, and is projected to save more than $75,000 annually.
