Using MindMeister and Confluence for Collaborative Project Management with Clients

LearningManager, a Romanian training and consultancy firm focused on mind mapping and agile/Kanban project management, relied on MindMeister as its go-to thinking tool for mapping user stories, meeting notes and brainstorming. The distributed team often worked with clients who preferred Atlassian tools (Confluence and JIRA), so LearningManager struggled to get clients to adopt MindMeister—maps were exported as large, hard-to-read images and not integrated into clients’ existing project documentation.

MindMeister solved this by providing a Confluence add-on that lets teams create, edit and embed interactive mind maps directly inside Confluence pages. With MindMeister integrated into Confluence, clients can zoom, open/close branches, follow links and edit maps in place, making maps part of the central project documentation and greatly improving client engagement—LearningManager now runs roughly 80% of its brainstormings online in MindMeister and no longer needs static image exports.
