The Part Time Scientists Use MindMeister to Get to the Moon

Part Time Scientists, a Berlin‑based, 55‑person team competing for the Google Lunar X Prize, faced the challenge of coordinating a dispersed team and organizing dozens of tasks for their Berlin International Airshow exhibit. To centralize information, eliminate duplicate work, and create a “did we forget anything?” checklist, they turned to MindMeister’s mind‑mapping collaboration tool.

Using MindMeister (combined with weekly VoIP sessions) the team built a single, shared map with ten branches containing checklists and actionable items, allowing members to contribute anytime, anywhere. The MindMeister solution streamlined planning and on‑site assembly, helped the exhibit run smoothly for over 225,000 visitors, drew high‑level attention (including a visit from Peter Hintze), and eliminated redundant work—MindMeister is now an official partner of the Part Time Scientists.
