Mr. V Uses MindMeister in the Classroom to Engage And Inspire Students

Anthony Valentin (Mr. V), a World History teacher at Stuyvesant High School, needed a way to engage 168 students across five classes, build critical thinking and collaboration, and bridge classroom and homework activities without tying work to a specific computer. He chose vendor MindMeister, using its web-based mind mapping tools and the MindMeister for iPad app to deliver intuitive, shareable learning activities.

MindMeister enabled Valentin to distribute templates, run individual and group mind‑mapping assignments, embed maps in course materials, and use History View to verify student participation. As a result, MindMeister helped improve students’ critical thinking, strengthen the link between classroom and homework, and deliver a noted increase in test scores, along with verified student participation in assignments.
