Gearing Up For Growth NewOrbit’s Software Project Management

NewOrbit, a UK-based software product partner that has grown to a 30-person team, faced the challenge of establishing scalable, transparent workflows to manage increasing Agile projects, operations, and internal/external IT support. To address communication breakdowns and onboarding gaps, NewOrbit adopted MindMeister for structured mind-mapping and MeisterTask for task management.

Using MindMeister templates (Project Planning, Company Meeting, Support Handover) integrated with MeisterTask, NewOrbit standardized project kick-offs, created a shared Work Packages board, automated assignments with Section Actions, and turned map items into actionable tasks with a single drag-and-drop. The MindMeister/MeisterTask workflow bridged developers using Targetprocess and non-dev staff, eliminated ad-hoc, unlogged requests, ensured nothing is forgotten, sped up planning and handovers, and proved faster, more reliable and more affordable than their previous tool.
