Biggerplate Uses MindMeister and G Suite to Effectively Manage Their Remote Team

Biggerplate, “The Home of Mind Mapping,” is a UK-based internet business with a remote team of seven that struggled to stay aligned using a mix of XMind, MindManager, Dropbox, Skype and Microsoft Office. Version conflicts, lengthy scheduling and long weekly meetings made real-time collaboration difficult, so the company adopted MindMeister alongside G Suite to provide a simpler, scalable way to keep everyone updated and aware of priorities.

Using MindMeister integrated with Google Drive and G Suite, Biggerplate shifted to live collaborative mind maps as meeting agendas, linking topics to Sheets and Docs and giving each team member a shared dashboard map for one-on-ones. MindMeister enabled real-time editing, eliminated overwritten versions, and made meetings “short and sharp” — meeting times have reduced drastically, maps are updated regularly for faster decision making, and new hires are set up quickly and cheaply.
