An Innovative Approach to Learning Students in Geneva Introduced to Online Mind Mapping

The International School of Geneva, a historic G20 member school with about 4,000 students across three campuses, set out to build a “digital toolbox” as it rolled out BYOD and new technologies across its curriculum. To provide a cross-platform mind mapping and collaboration solution that works on web, iOS and Android, the school selected MindMeister as its online mind mapping tool.

MindMeister was integrated with the school’s Google Apps accounts, piloted with teacher champions and rolled into International Baccalaureate inquiry projects where students created, shared and collaborated on maps. The MindMeister deployment let teachers monitor uptake and progress, and delivered measurable benefits—improved test scores, verified student participation and stronger critical‑thinking skills—while supporting scale across the school.
