ZF Friedrichshafen AG, a global driveline and chassis technology group, faced a challenge in its central IT purchasing department: managing a wide variety of information across media and systems so purchasing managers could rapidly access documents, reuse contract clauses and ensure consistent documentation during tenders and negotiations. Because MindManager was already in the IT “shopping basket,” the team adopted MindManager software to try to gain better overview, documentation and time savings.
Using MindManager, the purchasing team built a central knowledge map that aggregates documents, links to ERP records, and captures tasks, responsibilities and reminders in one place. MindManager improved contract drafting and proposal coordination, made important data accessible “at the click of a mouse,” reduced errors from switching between systems, and became a daily planning tool (“a second brain”) — delivering clearer oversight, faster access to information and measurable benefits in efficiency and quality assurance for ZF Friedrichshafen AG.
