ZF Friedrichshafen AG’s central IT purchasing team needed a better way to organize large volumes of information from different sources, much of it spread across paper and multiple systems, especially during enquiries, proposals, and contract negotiations. The team chose Mindjet’s MindManager to improve access to documents, create job profiles, manage resources, and build work packages, while also aiming for better documentation, consistency, and time savings.
Mindjet implemented MindManager as a cross-platform knowledge map and central organization tool for contract drafting, proposal coordination, task distribution, and process optimization. The result was a “second brain” for the purchasing team: a comprehensive knowledge database that reduced errors from switching between ERP data and other information, kept negotiations and tasks visible, and made relevant contract and supplier details quickly accessible, even offline.
