Inova needed a way to promote safety at a youth sports event by giving coaches tools to decide whether to cancel practice and to notify parents. To meet that challenge, Inova engaged Mindgrub to build a mobile solution—the Coach Safely app—for iOS and Android aimed specifically at coaches and first responders.

Mindgrub delivered Coach Safely with GPS-driven hospital/ER lookup, estimated ER drive times and current wait times, real-time weather integration and warning-level algorithms, a concussion guide, and a built-in physician finder. Mindgrub’s app streamlined coaches’ decision-making and parent communication, helping them identify the fastest care routes and assess weather- and injury-related risks in real time—meeting and exceeding Inova’s expectations.
