Danya, an agency that builds health and education technology for government organizations, engaged Mindgrub to improve Kenya’s Civil Society Portal for Health. The challenge was to create a more intuitive, engaging interactive mapping tool so Kenyan citizens could easily locate vital services—AIDS testing, clean water, vaccination centers, clinics and more—through the existing responsive portal.

Mindgrub delivered the enhanced portal by integrating Google Maps and location-based services, ingesting third-party XML data feeds for county-level information, and writing custom JavaScript to transition backend data to the frontend within the responsive site. Mindgrub’s work led to increased user engagement with the site and enabled more citizens to find and use publicly available services.
