Optimizing the Incoming Mail Service through Automated Incoming Mail Classification

The Wüstenrot Group, a Central European financial corporation, faced the immense challenge of manually processing 25,000 daily incoming data inputs from various channels and formats. This manual effort made it difficult to quickly and accurately route information to the correct departments, requiring a solution to automate classification and data extraction. They turned to vendor Mindbreeze and implemented its Mindbreeze InSpire product to address this.

Mindbreeze implemented its InSpire appliance, a self-learning system trained on historical documents to automatically classify and extract metadata from over 500 file formats. The solution achieved an accuracy rate of over 85% upon implementation, significantly increasing mailroom throughput and service quality. This allowed Wüstenrot to automatically route mail directly to departments and replaced their previous paper-based form recognition with a more flexible, future-proof technology.
