Special Strong, founded in 2016 in McKinney, Texas by Daniel Stein, is an adaptive fitness company that trains people with disabilities in inclusive, flexible settings. After rapid early growth—amplified by a viral video—Special Strong faced typical scaling challenges: fragmented tools (Google Calendar, QuickBooks, etc.), weak financial tracking, and the need for a reliable foundation to support franchising and international expansion.
Working with a Mindbody consultant and adopting the Mindbody platform solved those issues by centralizing operations and unlocking robust reporting and KPI tracking. The result: clearer financial management, lower merchant processing costs, two additional franchise locations (three total), and a scalable, seamless tech stack that positions Special Strong to build brick-and-mortar inclusive gyms and expand internationally.
