Ballet Austin’s Butler Center for Dance and Fitness

Ballet Austin’s Butler Center for Dance and Fitness is a public studio housed within the professional Ballet Austin organization in Austin, TX (founded 2007). Open seven days a week, the center saw attendance surge—growing 400% in its first year and reaching about 11,000 clients annually—which overwhelmed its old punch‑card system, caused lost contact and payment issues, made class tracking difficult, and created a challenge of making the professional space feel welcoming to the community.

To bring order to that growth, the Butler Center implemented MINDBODY in 2011 and leveraged reporting tools and best practices learned at MINDBODY’s BOLD conference to improve front‑desk operations and marketing. The result was centralized scheduling and reporting that supported continued expansion, reduced administrative errors, improved client service, and helped the studio fulfill its mission of making dance and fitness accessible to everyone.
