XCIEN Selects Mimosa Fixed Wireless to Offer Ultra-Broadband Services

XCIEN, a Mexico-based telecommunications provider serving eight metro areas, needed a cost-effective way to deliver ultra-broadband to dense urban and rural areas with little or no fiber access. To meet growing demand for residential and commercial connectivity, XCIEN turned to Mimosa Networks and its fixed wireless access, backhaul, and client devices.

Mimosa Networks helped XCIEN expand and modernize its network with A5 and B5c access points, C5/C5c client devices, and Cloud/Network Management tools. The result was fiber-fast service at one-fifth the cost of fiber, with links delivering up to 250 Mbps and backhaul capacity reaching 400 Mbps and even 1 Gbps on some links—about 50% faster than competitive offerings.
