Virtual Technology and Solutions Deploys Mimosa as Fiber Replacement in Burkina Faso

Virtual Technologies and Solutions (VTS), a fixed wireless ISP based in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, needed a robust and affordable way to extend coverage between towers and across schools and universities in a market with limited reliable broadband and fiber availability. As the company grew beyond 500 subscribers and aimed to scale quickly, it turned to Mimosa Networks for wireless backhaul and fiber-replacement support.

Mimosa Networks helped VTS deploy B11 backhaul radios, along with B5c and B5-Lite links for additional long- and short-distance connectivity. The solution expanded network capacity at a very affordable price point, improved coverage over 5 km links, and delivered speeds ranging from 250 Mbps down to 70 Mbps, while also giving VTS spectrum visibility to reduce interference and keep operating costs low.
