Mimosa Simplifies Licensed 11 GHz Deployments for Joink

Joink, a technology solutions provider serving Southern Illinois, Indiana, and Illinois, needed a sustainably expandable, high-capacity licensed network to support rapid rural growth and improve reliability on key backhaul links. The company turned to Mimosa Networks and its B11 backhaul radios to upgrade existing licensed 11 GHz links across distances of 1.5 to 15 miles.

Mimosa Networks implemented the B11 backhaul radios with planning tools and Auto-TDMA to improve spectrum efficiency and link coordination. The results were significant: Joink tripled capacity on some links, with throughput increasing from about 25 Mbps to 100 Mbps, and overall performance improvements reaching as much as 10x.
