Mimosa Makes Upgrades Easy

Springnet1, a provider of high-speed Internet, wireless Internet, and data services, needed more bandwidth as its customer base grew and its existing links began to suffer from latency and throughput limits. The company wanted to upgrade from WiMAX to 5G without bandwidth becoming the bottleneck, and chose Mimosa Networks and the B5c radio to help improve its Longview, Texas network.

Mimosa Networks implemented the B5c radios, using existing antennas where possible and also leveraging Mimosa Spectrum Analyzer to fine-tune performance. The result was a major throughput jump, with one link increasing from 70 Mbps to 650 Mbps download through a simple hardware swap, while the B5c delivered up to 1.45 Gbps aggregate capacity. Springnet1 reported improved network performance, easier deployment, and strong support, and said the success led them to consider a broader network rollout with Mimosa Networks.
