Mimosa and Cintel Hit a Home Run in Miami

When the City of Miami was asked to host the 2017 MLB All-Star Game, it needed a fast, secure, high-performance network for surveillance and public safety in a very short timeframe. Working with Cintel, the city sought a wireless alternative to new fiber infrastructure that could support live video monitoring from surveillance trailers, PTZ and fixed cameras, and command center operations.

Cintel deployed a Mimosa fixed wireless network across downtown Miami using Mimosa access points and licensed/unlicensed 4.9 GHz and 5 GHz spectrum. The solution enabled seamless trailer movement, a high-capacity link delivering more than 250 Mbps, and reliable real-time video streaming without cellular dependence. The result was quicker deployment, avoided trenching costs, and dependable performance that exceeded expectations during the event.
