Kansas Broadband Internet Closes Digital Divide in Rural Kansas

Kansas Broadband Internet, a wireless ISP serving rural areas across Kansas, needed to expand high-speed broadband while keeping costs low and improving network capacity and reliability. To do that, the company turned to Mimosa Networks and its fixed wireless products to support its mission of closing the digital divide.

Using Mimosa Networks equipment including A5c and B5c devices, N5-45 and N5-360 antennas, and B5 point-to-point radios, Kansas Broadband Internet improved coverage, reduced noise, and boosted backhaul performance. The results were significant: speeds increased from 80 Mbps to 400–800 Mbps on some links, the company is now offering 25 Mbps plans and targeting 100 Mbps, and it continues to add more Mimosa Networks gear across its network.
