Italian ISP NuovaReti Upgrades to Mimosa Ultra-fast Fixed Wireless in Northern Italy

NuovaReti, an Italian ISP serving more than 2,500 urban and rural subscribers in Northern Italy, needed a reliable way to deliver gigabit-capable service and high-capacity backhaul across remote and hilly areas of Veneto. To strengthen its hybrid wireless network, the company turned to Mimosa Networks, using the A5 access points and B5 backhaul links as part of its fixed wireless broadband upgrade.

Mimosa Networks implemented a gigabit wireless PTMP and backhaul solution, later expanding to 140 point-to-point and point-to-multipoint links and a new 24 GHz platform for longer remote connections. The results were substantial: NuovaReti increased speeds by 5x, saw one link jump from 70 Mbps to over 350 Mbps, and improved monthly recurring revenue, while also enabling 1 Gbps service for schools, hospitals, and financial institutions.
