A Mimosa Networks Case Study
Hyperoptic Q, an internet provider in Kazakhstan, faced the challenge of delivering reliable connectivity to remote homes across the country's vast geography and harsh weather. Previous fixed wireless solutions had failed, leaving many residents with outdated ADSL service. Hyperoptic Q partnered with Mimosa Networks to overcome these connectivity gaps.
Mimosa Networks implemented a fixed wireless solution using its B5x radios for uplinks and A5, A6, and A5c access points for distribution. The deployment achieved exceptional results, with B5x radios delivering uplink speeds of up to 1 Gbps and end users receiving speeds up to 300 Mbps. Mimosa's equipment proved critically resilient during a major flood in April 2024, providing the only communication link when traditional infrastructure failed and transforming local perception of fixed wireless access.
