Case Study: Frontiir achieves affordable high-speed broadband coverage in Myanmar with Mimosa Networks fixed wireless

A Mimosa Networks Case Study

Frontiir delivers 16 Mbps broadband for $3.25/month with Mimosa Networks

Frontiir, a Myanmar-based internet provider, faced significant challenges in offering affordable and reliable internet services due to network congestion, frequent outages, and high costs from their existing infrastructure. They required a cost-effective, high-performance, and noise-mitigating solution to bridge the digital divide in their market and turned to vendor Mimosa Networks for a fix.

Mimosa Networks implemented its B24 solution, which utilized GPS synchronization to enable spectrum reuse and alleviate co-channel interference. The compact, power-efficient design of the B24 allowed for easy installation on utility poles, facilitating high-density coverage. As a result, Frontiir more than tripled its link speeds from 90 Mbps to 300 Mbps and was able to offer customers vastly improved service at $3.25 per month for speeds up to 16 Mbps, achieving its competitive price and performance targets.
