Oral Roberts University Enrolls Mimecast to Defend Against Crippling Email Attacks

Oral Roberts University, a liberal arts university in Tulsa with about 1,000 staff and 4,000–5,000 students, was struggling to protect a large, rotating population of email users across a hybrid Exchange and Office 365 environment. Their legacy solution was manual, produced many false positives, and failed to stop incidents — including a mass email attack and a breach-driven wave of compromised student accounts that forced the IT team to manually terminate roughly 1,000 accounts and fight daily clean-up for months.

ORU deployed Mimecast Email Security and Mimecast Awareness Training.
