Haileybury, a large K–12 school, faced rising and increasingly complex cyber threats that put student data and safety at risk. With personally identifiable information on file and a surge in account‑compromise and phishing attempts since 2020, the school identified email—the most commonly used attack vector—as its highest priority for protection.

Since partnering with Mimecast in 2019 and deploying Email Security, Internet Email Protect and Browser Isolation, Haileybury has seen a dramatic drop in spam, phishing and malicious attachments. In 2023 Mimecast blocked 59,267 spam emails, stopped 18,355 impersonation attacks, detected and rejected 531 malware attacks, and blocked 3,994 malicious URLs, while simplifying staff workflows and helping ensure the safety of students—prompting Haileybury’s Director of ICT to call Mimecast “one of the best email protection programs out there.”
