IBL Group, Mauritius’s largest conglomerate with more than 26,000 employees across 280+ businesses, moved its on‑premise email system to Microsoft Office 365 and quickly found its attack surface had grown. Office 365 Advanced Threat Protection proved insufficient as the organisation faced persistent brute‑force and impersonation attacks and lacked cybersecurity governance and internal threat visibility, prompting a need for a trusted partner and stronger email security.

After a successful 200‑user proof‑of‑concept, IBL engaged Grove and deployed Mimecast’s Secure Email Gateway with Targeted Threat Protection, Continuity, Cloud Archive, Sync & Recover, Internal Email Protect, Awareness Training and 24/7 support for 2,000 users. The rollout delivered immediate blocking of malicious emails and attachments, automated removal of infected internal messages, improved visibility and recovery capabilities, and a plan to raise user awareness—significantly strengthening IBL’s email security and overall cyber resilience.
