DAC Beachcroft is a leading international law firm with about 2,300 staff across 16 offices that relies heavily on email for confidential client communications. After a few targeted attacks—including attempts against its finance team—the IT group sought stronger protection to prevent financial and reputational damage and to reduce time-consuming post-click investigations.

The firm deployed Mimecast Targeted Threat Protection – URL Protect, which uses URL rewriting, web scanning and real-time site blocking and was rolled out from IT to the wider business. The solution complemented existing Mimecast services, blocked 48 spear‑phishing link attempts in one month, eliminated the need for routine post-click forensics (saving roughly a day of investigation), and improved user confidence in email security.
