Case Study: Royal Albert Hall achieves always-on email continuity and rapid recovery with Mimecast

A Mimecast Case Study

Preview of the Royal Albert Hall Case Study

Always-on email plays a leading role at the Royal Albert Hall

The Royal Albert Hall, a world‑famous entertainment venue hosting over 350 events a year, relied on email as a mission‑critical tool for staff, artists and international partners. Their existing hosted email service offered basic anti‑virus and anti‑spam protection but was hard to use and lacked the control and archiving capabilities needed to support business continuity, reduce administrative burden and ensure easy access to historic mail for about 150 users.

Mimecast implemented a seven‑step, no‑disruption migration, ingesting ~100 GB of mail and deploying cloud archiving, searchable indexing and LDAP address validation. The result was fast, self‑service recovery of deleted messages (often under a minute), tens of thousands of spam messages blocked, improved Exchange efficiency and higher user satisfaction, while delivering comprehensive backup and continuity for the Hall’s email.
