Video tech snuffed out costly arson at Anchorage School District

Anchorage School District needed a way to monitor remote school locations more effectively while dealing with bandwidth limitations and security issues such as theft, vandalism, fights, and arson. The district worked with Milestone Systems and used video technology to help protect its schools and improve visibility across sites.

Milestone Systems implemented Milestone Federated Architecture so video could stay on each school server while administrators accessed all connected systems from a single central location. The district deployed 1,270 Milestone device licenses in three years, with a projected total of 3,000 cameras, and keeps recorded video for 30 days to support event archiving and investigations.
