Trondheim Harbor, the region’s largest port authority and a hub for 13 harbors, faced significant safety and environmental challenges from harsh Nordic weather, heavy freight and dense passenger traffic. Swaying containers, damaged piers and unmoored vessels made it difficult to monitor multiple dispersed sites, so the port needed a centralized, proactive video surveillance solution to improve situational awareness and response.

Triangel Consulting implemented Milestone XProtect Corporate 2016 with XProtect Smart Client and Milestone Mobile, integrating about 70 Axis cameras (including thermal and PTZ models) over 4G, fiber and radio links to bring all sites into a single control center. The system shortened guard response times, reduced theft and vandalism, improved detection and documentation of environmental incidents for insurance and authorities, and provides a scalable platform to add more cameras and analytics.
