Three Counties Showground protects plants, livestock and machinery using wireless Milestone IP network video surveillance

Three Counties Showground, a large event venue hosting about 90,000 visitors a year, was suffering repeated vandalism, machinery theft and attempted ATM theft across multiple entranceways and public areas. The site’s size and frequent event-related groundworks made it impractical to install traditional coaxial CCTV cabling, and managers needed reliable off-site monitoring after hours.

Integration partner View-IT installed a wireless Milestone XProtect IP video system with Axis fixed and PTZ cameras, wireless transmitters and server storage; cameras use motion detection and touring modes to capture wide areas and license plates, and XProtect Remote Client enables secure remote viewing. The solution eradicated vandalism and theft in monitored workshop areas, provides reliable 30-day recordings (nine cameras ≈ 40 GB) and gives managers effective, remote oversight.
