The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), a state-owned utility operating 45 power sites, faced safety and security challenges at remote hydropower plants: staff had to travel long distances to check reservoir levels, exposing people to danger and driving up labor costs. EGAT needed a scalable, flexible and cost‑effective video management system to monitor hundreds of cameras across sensitive sites and improve situational awareness.
