Case Study: Frölunda Torg Shopping Center achieves enhanced security and evidence-grade surveillance with Milestone Systems

Swedish shopping center, Frölunda Torg, invests in safety and security by installing Axis network cameras

Frölunda Torg, a large shopping center in Gothenburg managed by Diligentia, faced recurring problems with vandalism, gangs and shoplifting while relying on a handful of outdated analog cameras. Addici Security was engaged to provide foot patrols and to upgrade the surveillance system to meet the center’s safety and loss-prevention needs.

As part of a renovation, about 50 Axis network cameras were installed by partner Insupport and integrated with Milestone XProtect® software, covering entrances, public areas and delivery zones with local recording. The high‑quality footage enables rapid identification of incidents and evidence for police, lets guards intervene more effectively and has reduced staffing needs; Diligentia is now considering expanding the system to more shops and adding thermal perimeter cameras.
