Soliton Systems, working with Milestone Systems, needed a reliable way to support law enforcement with low-latency live video from body-worn cameras, drones, moving vehicles, and temporary or remote surveillance sites. The challenge was to give command teams better situational awareness and field support in hostile or fast-changing operations.

Milestone Systems helped power an integrated live-streaming solution using the Milestone VMS and Soliton’s ZAO-S encoders, enabling secure real-time viewing, talk-back communication, and recording/archiving of all communications. The result was improved operational decision-making, wider area coverage, and the ability for officers to view bodycam, drone, and CCTV feeds on one screen for a more complete assessment of live incidents.
