Southwest Tennessee Community College reports drastic drop in crime with Milestone IP video surveillance installed by Dynamark Security

Southwest Tennessee Community College faced persistent campus-safety problems across seven Memphis locations: vandalism and gang graffiti, theft of books, computers and autos, false fire alarms, disorderly conduct and issues with vagrants and disturbed outsiders. With 14,000 students and crowded urban surroundings, the college needed a reliable, scalable way to protect people and property and improve police response.

Dynamark Security installed a Milestone XProtect IP video system—105 cameras (including 75 Sony PTZs and Panasonic models), networked across campus with wireless links and full officer training—to give campus police live monitoring, motion/event alerts and easy evidence export. Since installation the college reports a drastic drop in vandalism, theft and false-alarm incidents, faster responses, more efficient use of officers, improved OSHA and property monitoring, and strengthened cooperation with local and federal law enforcement.
