Sology Solutions deliver XProtect VMS on AWS to facilitate election transparency and cost savings

Sology Solutions helped a county polling site in Texas address a new election transparency requirement: providing citizens with real-time video of ballot handling while storing nearly two years of footage on a tight budget. The county had previously relied on in-person video review requests, which limited access and made transparency costly. Milestone Systems’ XProtect VMS on AWS was used as the core video platform for the project.

Sology Solutions implemented a cloud-based surveillance system using Milestone Systems’ XProtect video management software, AWS storage, Tiger Surveillance Bridge, Axis cameras, and YouTube streaming. Milestone Systems’ solution enabled the county to go live in just over a weekend, with the system operational by Monday after a Thursday purchase order. The result was faster deployment, lower technology and storage costs, automatic 22-month archiving, and improved public trust through easy real-time access to election video.
