Preview of the Shasta High School Case Study

Shasta Union School District in California protects students, staff and property with a Milestone IP video surveillance from Ojo Technology

Shasta Union High School District, serving more than 6,000 students across four campuses in Northern California, faced widespread vandalism, theft and safety concerns in high-traffic areas like fields, cafeterias, hallways and parking lots. The district needed a scalable way to monitor student activity and campus visitors, deter external threats, and improve incident identification and resolution.

Ojo Technology deployed a Milestone XProtect IP video system using Sony, Axis and newer Panasonic network cameras linked by fiber to a central archive, giving authorized staff 24/7 live and recorded access with fast search-and-export capabilities. The district reports excellent ease-of-use and scalability, and a reported 98% reduction in vandalism and theft after installation, along with faster identification of suspects and more accurate resolution of student conflicts.
