Royal Bahamas Police upgrade video technology to reduce crime and manage traffic incidents

The Royal Bahamas Police Force needed to upgrade its city-wide video system to better combat crime and manage traffic incidents, especially in known criminal hotspots. To improve situational awareness and help identify suspects, the force worked with Milestone Systems and its partner Proficient Business Services, using Milestone video technology as part of the upgrade.

Milestone Systems helped implement enhanced video tech, new partner integrations, redesigned network infrastructure, and hundreds of new IP cameras feeding data into the new Real-Time Crime Center at police headquarters. The result was better crime prevention and fewer hit-and-run cases, with operations starting in early 2021 and supporting police presence and response across the city.
