Molde property management takes ownership of the entire town's security solution using Milestone IP video solution

Molde Eiendom is the municipal property manager in Molde, Norway, responsible for 120,000 m2 of public buildings—including 20 schools, sports and care facilities—with an insured value of NOK 2.7 billion. The organization needed a cost‑effective, law‑compliant surveillance system to prevent nighttime vandalism and trespassing across seven dispersed locations (some up to 22 km apart) while keeping maintenance and installation overhead low.

Molde Eiendom deployed Milestone XProtect® Corporate 4.0 with Axis fixed cameras using the town’s fiber and some wireless links, a centralized IP architecture, scheduled recording and Active Directory user management, with remote support from integrator Triangel. The solution kept storage modest (2–3 TB, expanded as needed), made camera additions simple, reduced installation and maintenance costs compared with analog systems, and delivered a preventative effect by reducing damage and improving trespass alerts.
