MMArena at LeMans: Milestone video is "simply spellbinding"

The MMArena in Le Mans (opened January 2011) is a 25,000‑seat multisport and events stadium (expandable to 38,000) that needed a scalable, high‑performance surveillance system to protect players, VIPs and up to tens of thousands of spectators across ticketing, concessions, locker rooms, entrances/exits and secure parking. The challenge was to provide identification‑quality imaging, flexible user access for multiple operator teams and a future‑proof open platform that could integrate third‑party analytics.

Milestone’s XProtect Corporate was deployed over a fiber optic loop with 106 cameras (including 104 Sony IP cameras and a mix of Full HD and HD PTZ/fixed domes), H.264 compression, two recording servers, SQL and HP storage, an XProtect Smart Wall driving two image walls and four operator workstations. The solution delivered top‑quality live and recorded images, strong identification capability, granular user rights and easy manageability (operators trained in one day), while remaining scalable and secure — results the stadium team described as “simply spellbinding.”
