The University of St Andrews School of Medicine needed a secure, scalable way for students to record, review and retain practical clinical and communication‑skills exercises as part of their portfolios. Existing solutions didn’t meet requirements for simultaneous recording (up to 46 exams), data security, easy bookmarking and controlled sharing, so the school commissioned a purpose‑built system that would be simple enough for students and tutors to use without technical support.

The deployment delivers secure, touch‑friendly recording, bookmarking and controlled sharing of video evidence, supports research use, holds over 12,000 clips, and has become integral to teaching and assessment while enabling remote grading and improved student practice and portfolio management.
