Milestone Access Control Module Eases Admittance to Turvatiimi

Turvatiimi Oyj, a Finnish security company with 1,100 employees and 23 locations, needed a high-security automated access solution when moving into new premises at the Flamingo shopping and entertainment center. With 19 secured doors, frequent employee movement between offices and a high daily visitor flow, traditional panel- or card-based systems were impractical due to risks like tailgating, lost/stolen/swapped tokens and inability to visually verify identities.

Hi‑Sec Supply installed 18 AXIS cameras and 19 AXIS A1001 door controllers integrated with Milestone XProtect VMS and the Milestone Access Control Module, plus Responda 113 alarm integration. The video-linked access system provides photo notifications on visitor arrival, detects token swaps and tailgating, centralizes control and keeps recordings for 2–3 weeks—resulting in faster incident response, improved visitor handling and a planned rollout to all Turvatiimi locations.
