KIWI Minipris implemented ACTi IP surveillance for its new expansions of 55 stores in Denmark

KIWI Minipris, a Norwegian discount grocery chain expanding into Denmark, rolled out 55 new stores in 2008 and needed an affordable, scalable way to secure entrances, aisles and high‑risk areas like alcohol counters while keeping network and hardware costs down. The challenge was to deploy many cameras across multiple locations to prevent theft and provide reliable evidence without blowing the budget.

IT Gruppen deployed ACTi megapixel cameras (10 ACM‑4200 per store plus two ACM‑5611 at entrances) integrated with Milestone XProtect VMS. The solution delivered high‑resolution, low‑bandwidth video with two‑way audio and multi‑streaming, giving comprehensive in‑store coverage, improved goods‑loss prevention and clear forensic evidence for incidents across the new Danish stores.
