Case Study: Kansas State University achieves enhanced stadium security and faster incident response with Milestone Systems XProtect

A Milestone Systems Case Study

Preview of the Kansas State University Case Study

Kansas State University's football stadium uses Homeland Security funding to install Milestone IP video surveillance

Kansas State University, a Midwest campus of about 23,000 students, faced growing security challenges around its 55,000‑seat football stadium: large crowds, alcohol‑related disorder, parking‑lot and traffic issues, and elevated terrorism risk due to proximity to Fort Riley. With federal Homeland Security grant funding, campus police sought a scalable, modern surveillance solution to improve public safety and event management.

KSU deployed Milestone XProtect® Enterprise with Axis PTZ cameras, installed and supported by ISG Technology, backed by training, a helpdesk, and a product maintenance agreement. The system delivered faster, more accurate incident detection and response, remote pan‑tilt‑zoom inspection, reliable recorded evidence for prosecutions, and a foundation the university and county can expand to enhance community security.
