Hamilton Family Center, a San Francisco shelter for victims of domestic violence and homelessness, needed to replace outdated analog DVRs that produced poor image quality and made hallway and common-area monitoring difficult. With the project completed pro bono by The Consulting Group, the center also faced strict budget and usability constraints and required a lean, reliable solution that staff could learn quickly.

TCG deployed a Milestone Husky M30 NVR with preconfigured XProtect Professional, 16 Axis network cameras and an Axis A‑8004‑VE video door station, with room to add 14 more cameras. The result was high-quality, privacy-conscious coverage, simple management and mobile remote monitoring, faster incident response and easy video export for police—delivering improved resident safety and reliable, court-admissible evidence with minimal training.
