Case Study: ComputerCity achieves 80% reduction in inventory discrepancies and faster, more accurate stock counts with Milestone Systems

A Milestone Systems Case Study

Preview of the ComputerCity Case Study

Greater RFID benefits than expected at Danish retailer ComputerCity

ComputerCity, a Nordic electronics retail chain, ran a year‑long RFID pilot in its Glostrup store to tackle poor inventory visibility, slow periodic stock counts and shrinkage. The retailer needed faster, more accurate status counts and better control over internal losses and shoplifting across its stores.

They implemented 2Trace’s ShopProtect RFID system integrated with Milestone XProtect video, enabling one‑click daily scans that track each item’s history and link scans to surveillance. Results: status differences fell by 80%, a full store count of ~2,000 items takes 15–20 minutes, ROI shortened to 18 months, shrinkage and labor costs dropped, and the solution is being rolled out to the rest of the chain.
