Grant Parish Sheriff's Office in Colfax, Louisiana, was hampered by an aging analog surveillance system—frequent camera failures, low-resolution footage and failing DVRs—leaving its detention center harder to monitor and respond to incidents. Leadership sought a more reliable solution that would restore camera feeds quickly and deliver clearer images for safety and remote oversight.

Under the IT director’s guidance the office migrated to Axis network cameras (including 360-degree and PTZ models) integrated with Milestone XProtect and a central control tower. The new system let staff spot contraband within minutes, improved real-time and mobile monitoring, provided clear playback for investigations, increased staff accountability, and set the agency up to continue upgrading other facilities.
