France Prune installs video encoders to monitor its 3 sites

France Prune (Maître Prunille), a group of cooperatives marketing the Agen prune across three production sites in Aquitaine and PACA, needed to modernize its aging analog video surveillance, which was prone to failures from power outages and computer issues. Uni-Sat was tasked with improving performance, reliability and remote monitoring for the company’s 700 employees and multi-site operations.

Uni-Sat deployed Axis IP solutions—AXIS Q7406 and M7001 video encoders, an AXIS Q6032 PTZ camera, racks and Milestone XProtect—to digitize 30 analog cameras and stream H.264 video over the network. The upgrade reduced bandwidth and storage needs, simplified integration and increased system autonomy; today four 24/7 “cyber-operators” monitor real-time video and respond according to France Prune’s procedures.
